The house has three bedrooms, two with their own convenient entrance from the outside of the building. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed plus a single. The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed. Both bedrooms have private access to a bathroom, one with a bath (master) and one with a shower. The smaller downstairs bedroom opens onto the patio. The beds are new and linen is supplied. Upstairs there are two single beds, a futon and one bathroom to share. Maximum capacity for the house is two couples, plus four children or single adults, for a total of eight people. This might be a bit crowded; six people is ideal.
The living/dining room area is quite spacious and opens onto the patio through French windows. The fully equipped kitchen has a double sink, refrigerator, four burner-stove top and built-in oven. All cooking and eating utensils are supplied. Dishes must be washed by hand. A washing machine is provided and racks for drying clothes outside. The patio is well situated for afternoon sun. There are four entrances to the house- two through French windows with locking shutters. Floors throughout are tiled or wood. The building is entirely secure.
A friendly retired French couple lives next door and a young family of four in the house past the garden. Speaking French is a big asset here, although there are many British people in Eymet and throughout the Dordogne. If you don't speak any French, it is a good idea to learn some basics.
There are two bikes at the house - a bike ride to Eymet is easy or go off on any of the inviting country roads near the house!
