17th Century Retreat near Eymet, France

Lovingly restored four hundred-year-old farmhouse is situated three kilometers from the 13th century bastide of Eymet in the Dordogne Valley of the Aquitaine region of France. Bastides are fortified towns built in southwestern France during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Eymet is approximately one hour east of Bordeaux and 20 minutes southwest of Bergerac. This central location allows access to interesting travel opportunities in any direction - Spain in two and a half hours, Paris in eight, and Marseilles in three and a half; but with myriad sights to see and things to do, there is little reason to travel more than a few miles from the farmhouse itself!
